Achingly and beautifully put, Rachel. Whew the haunting of perfectionism is real. I love how you acknowledge some part of it will always be there, and how you handle this part of yourself with kindness.
Oooooh, this entry really resonated. In an era where social media dominates, comparison is a virus, and so many people (especially moms!) suffer from perfectionism. Thank goodness for His grace. What a reminder of the importance of encouraging each other. I loved this post!
This is so beautifully written <3. I'm also haunted by the drain of the perfectionist voice inside, and am strugglingn to fight through year over year into a deeper, warmer space of self forgiveness and more generosity towards myself and others. I'm not a mom but I just sent this to a writing friend who is!
So good Rachel! Right there with you in the learning and the releasing!
t“ust the good-enough...” phew. And yes❤️
What an interesting definition! Definitely makes me think too.

I can totally resonate with viewing perfectionism as "the ghost that has ruled so much of my life." Loved this take on haunting!
